Introduction
In this era, many of the devise will
equip with technology. There are evolution from devise from time to time. For
the transportation technology, before the modern era, many of the
transportation using an analog speedometer to measure the speed of the vehicle.
Unfortunately these devices lag in speed accuracy, are not linear and some are
easily not operational due to the mechanical problem. Nowadays, the inventor
had created the digital speedometer to give an output more reliable and very
accurate. The digital speedometer have been implant in many high-end vehicle
such as super bike, luxury car, boat and many more.
System Operation.
Digital Speedometer system is a
system that easy to understand the principle. It will automatically start when
the vehicle turn on. An opaque disc ware mounted on the spindle attached to the
front wheel of the vehicle. The disc then implant with an infrared LED in line
with IR LED, phototransistors mounted. When a hole appears between the IR LED
and the phototransistor, the phototransistor conducts. Hence, the voltage at
the collector of the phototransistor immediately inverting an input signal
‘low’, and thus output become logic ‘high’. The frequency of the waveform is
proportional to the speed.
